The StainGlass Social is a community grassroots, start-up in Calgary, Alberta – Canada's Capital of Country Music. Inspired by the songwriter tradition of Nashville, our vision is to become a cultural destination for Folk & Country Music performance right here in Calgary.
Bringing together the intimacy of an underground club with the professionalism of a theatre stage, The StainGlass Social provides an opportunity to Turn Down the noise and Listen In to the music.
The StainGlass Social aims to engage, support, inspire and participate in our community on a regular, ongoing basis. From the music community, to the volunteer community, to Calgary and beyond, the mission of The StainGlass Social is to bring people together, across the spectrum, to celebrate, enjoy, and share in their love of a great song.
In collaboration with charitable organizations, and as a cultural, and tourist destination for original folk and country music performance, we offer a platform for professionally oriented artists to display their work, for charities to tell their story, and for people to participate in community.
The StainGlass Social seeks to provide a genuine, professional, and engaging experience for artists and fans alike, no matter who is on stage.
On July 5, people came together to share in their love of music during our debut and premiere: The Calgary Community Benefit Concert. The event was an intimate, virtual performance, filmed in our historic performance space in downtown Calgary.
We believe community is truly what music is all about, and we are proud to be part of this one. Our work remains ongoing, and we are looking forward to our next event; we'd be thrilled to have you with us.
